What is the proprietary extraction process of MOXXOR?
As a first step in the formulation of Moxxor, we extract a concentrate of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) from Perna Canaliculus (the New Zealand green-lipped mussel). We then refine the product through a sophisticated process which is partly undertaken in a high-tech vacuum fluid extraction (VFE) facility. The process is the only known means, worldwide, to commercially manufacture the PUFA concentrate without the use of heat. Moxxor is the exclusive worldwide licensee of this combination of processes.
The process of extracting the antioxidants from grape seed is similarly unique. We start with freshly separated seeds from New Zealand's award-winning Sauvignon Blanc grapes. This seed has up to twice the levels of polyphenolic antioxidant compounds found in similar seeds grown in other parts of the world. These seeds are from grapes grown under a Sustainable Viticulture program and are free from genetically modified material, heavy metals, arsenic and pesticides. Our grape seed extract is manufactured using a simple and natural process with an ethanol and water mixture, and is then freeze dried to maximize antioxidant activity.
